TANJUNG SELOR – Pembahasan tipe Polres Bulungan dan KTT (Kabupaten Tana Tidung) Kalimantan Utara melibatkan Forkopimda (Forum Koordinasi Pimpinan Daerah) Kabupaten Bulungan Kalimantan Utara.
Kapolres Bulungan AKBP Ronaldo Maradona bersama Bupati Bulungan Syarwani beserta sejumlah Forkopimda dan tokoh daerah membahas peningkatan status Polres Bulungan dan pembentukan kelembagaan Polres Tana Tidung di Mapolres Bulungan Tanjung Selor, Selasa.
KTT adalah kabupaten termuda di Kaltara, selama ini masih masuk wilayah Polres Bulungan.
Ia memaparkan bahwa peningkatan tipe Polres Bulungan dari D ke tipe C atau Polresta merupakan suatu tuntutan di tengah terus berkembangnya kompleksitas wilayah. Begitu pun dengan Polres KTT.
“Secara umum seluruh pihak menyetujui peningkatan tipe Polres Bulungan dari dari tipe D menjadi Polres Kota atau Polresta, termasuk
dorongan percepatan terbentuknya kelembagaan struktur Polres KTT,” terangnya, (12/05/2022).
Selanjutnya, ia menambahkan bahwa baik Polres Bulungan maupun Polres Tana Tidung, semuanya telah diusulkan ke Kementerian PAN RB.
“Peningkatan pelayanan di Polres Bulungan bakal terus dilakukan sekalipun di tengah keterbatasan sumber daya manusia saat ini. Tapi, mengenai penentu peningkatan tipe tergantung penilaian dari kementerian terkait,” jelasnya.
Sementara itu, Bupati Bulungan Syarwani mendukung terhadap pengusulan kenaikan tipe Polres Bulungan menjadi Polresta.
“Dengan peningkatan tipe itu maka aspek keamanan wilayah semakin meningkat dan kondusif,” tutpnya. (*)
