TARAKAN – Setelah sekian lama dibawa naungan Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Tarakan dan Provinsi Kaltara, kini jalan Aki Balak dan P Aji Iskandar resmi berpindah status nasional. Dengan status tersebut diharapkan kedua jalan tersebut mendapat perawatan yang baik.
Saat dikonfirmasi, Walikota Tarakan dr Khairul M.Kes menerangkan, Perpindahan status tersebut sesuai Penetapan Surat Keputusan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat Nomor : 430/KPTS/M/2022 tentang Penetapan Ruas Jalan Dalam Jaringan Jalan Primer Menurut Fungsinya Sebagai Jalan Arteri Primer (JAP) dan Jalan Kolektor Primer-1 (JKP-1).
“SK penetapannya sudah keluar, mudah-mudahan tahun depan sudah bisa dilakukan perbaikan. Karena tahun ini kita ada kegiatan yang saat ini masih dalam proses lelang,”ungkapnya, (12/6/2022).
Diketahui, sebelum dihibahkan ke pemerintah pusat, perbaikan Jalan Aki Balak akan dimulai pada awal Juli ini dari depan Kantor Kelurahan Karang Harapan, sampai simpang PT Intraca, serta perbaikan jembatan menuju jalan Aji Iskandar yang mengalami penurunan.
“Perbaikan jalan dan jembatan satu paket, setelah itu kita hibahkan ke pemerintah pusat karena SK pengalihan status jalan daerah menjadi jalan nasional sudah keluar. sebelum diserahkan kita lakukan perbaikan dulu,”tuturnya.
Setelah ditetapkannya jalan Aki Balak dan Aji Iskandar menjadi jalan nasional, selanjutnya Pemkot Tarakan dapat lebih leluasa terfokus pada pembangunan lainnya. Diketahui, Panjang Jalan Aki Balak kurang lebih 7,5 kilometer, kalau Aji Iskandar sekitar 5 kilometer. Jalan Aki Iskandar sendiri isebenarnya jalan Provinsi Kalimantan Utara, lantaran satu jalur sehingga jalan tersebut ikut dihibahkan guna memudahkan perawatannya.
“Saat ini masih tender secara fisik, awal Juli mudah-mudahan sudah bisa dikerjakan. Anggaran kemarin sekitar Rp9 miliar,” urainya.
