TARAKAN – Penyakit DBD masih menjadi masalah kesehatan dan ancaman serius di sejumlah wilayah di Indonesia. Pasalnya penyakit ini tidak hanya berdampak terhadap sektor kesehatan, namun juga sektor sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat.
Peningkatan kasus DBD terus terjadi terutama saat musim hujan. Kementerian Kesehatan mencatat di tahun 2022, jumlah kumulatif kasus Dengue di Indonesia sampai dengan Minggu ke-22 dilaporkan 45.387 kasus. Sementara jumlah kematian akibat DBD mencapai 432 kasus.
Sementara itu, di kota Tarakan juga terbilang cukup tinggi sepanjang 2022. Bahkan pada Februari 2022 terdapat dua kasus kematian yang diakibatkan dari gigitan nyamuk Aedes Aegypti.
Hal tersebut disampaikan langsung oleh Kepala Dinas Kesehatan, Devi Ika Indriarti, pada beberapa waktu lalu.
“Kita harapkan kemarin pada Maret dan April bisa turun kasusnya, tetapi ternyata masih tinggi dan setiap bulannya stagnan. Jika diakumulasi, sejak Januari hingga Agustus sudah ratusan kasus DBD,” ungkapnya.
Berdasarkan data yang dihimpun oleh Dinas Kesehatan Tarakan, kasus DBD sejak Januari 2022 tercatat 42 kasus, Februari turun menjadi 35 kasus, sedangkan Maret terjadi kenaikan menjadi 41 kasus.
Bulan April kembali meningkat menjadi 44 kasus, Mei naik menjadi 60 kasus, Juni turun ke 59 kasus, Juli naik kembali 69 kasus, dan Agustus hingga tanggal 20 sudah ada 15 kasus.
Total selama 2022 hingga Agustus ini tercatat ada 365 kasus.
Adapun lanjutnya, Dinas Kesehatan Tarakan mengimbau kepada masyarakat untuk kembali membudayakan 3M (Menguras, Menutup, dan Memanfaatkan kembali barang bekas).
“Budayakan 3M, karena masih banyak ditemukan genangan air yang ada dilingkungan rumah masih ada jentiknya, karena angka bebas jentik di Tarakan masih kurang atau masih rendah,” jelas.
“Kalau sayang airnya bisa ditaburi bubuk abate, bisa didapat di puskesmas secara gratis. Ada juga yang memelihara ikan cupang supaya memakan jentik-jentik yang ada di tampungan air,” tambahnya.
Kemudian, kata Devi genangan air juga harus dikontrol yang berada di dalam rumah, seperti vas bunga yang menampung air, dispenser yang terkadang di bawah kran menyimpan air sehingga dijadikan nyamuk untuk berkembang biak, dan lain sebagainya.
“Harus sering-sering dikontrol, karena bisa saja nyamuk berkembang biak di dalam rumah,” tutupnya.
