TARAKAN – Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam (HMI) Cabang Tarakan bersama Ikatan Remaja Masjid (IRMA) Nurul Islah Kota Tarakan melaksanakan kegiatan majelis taklim kebangsaan dengan tema “Peran Mahasiswa dan Pemuda Islam dalam Menangkal Paham Radikalisme dan Terorisme Guna menjaga Keutuhan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia” pada Kamis (12/5/2022).
Kegiatan ini di inisiasi oleh HMI Cabang Tarakan bersama IRMA Masjid Nurul Islah Kota Tarakan dilksanakan dengan kesadaran bahwa peran Ikatan Remaja Masjid memiliki peran yang cukup central dalam menetralisir masuknya paham – paham radikalisme dan terorisme ke tempat ibadah.
Disampaikan oleh Dedy Syarkani, Ketua Umum HmI Cabang Tarakan bahwa para remaja dan pemuda yang aktif berorganisasi disetiap masjid adalah salah satu garda terdepan dari penangkalan paham radikalisme dan terorisme.
“Ya jelas, mereka para IRMA ini adalah kelompok tergorganisir penting yang harus aktif dan ada di setiap masjid.
Dengan semangat Nasionalisme dan kebangsaan yang tinggi tentu kita harap merekalah yang menjadi penetralisir awal jika nanti ada oknum yang mencoba untuk menaburkan bibit pemahaman radikalisme dan terorisme di tempat ibadah.
Dedy juga menyampaikan bahwa bekerjasama dengan IRMA dalam pencegahan paham radikalisme dan terorisme ini pun, adalah suatu inovasi yang baru dilakukan oleh HmI Cabang Tarakan.
“Sebelumnya kita banyak bekerja sama dengan organisasi kemahasiswaan lainnya untuk mencegah paham radikalisme dan terorisme, dan saat ini kita melakukan inovasi dengan menggandeng IRMA karena kita sadar bahwa paham radikalisme dan terorisme bisa masuk dari pintu mana saja.
Ketua HmI Cabang Tarakan berharap kedepan seluruh elemen pemuda dapat lebih banyak berinovasi dan berperan untuk menangkal segala bentuk paham radikalisme dan terorisme guna untuk menjaga keutuhan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia.
