TARAKAN – Bertempat di Swissbelhotel pada Minggu (22/5/2022) malam, Dr. H. Andi Rakhmad S.H, M.H melakukan silaturahmi dengan melaksanakan Halal Bihalal kepada masyarakat Kota Tarakan.
Dalam kegiatan tersebut dihadiri sejumlah tokoh masyarakat, tokoh adat, tokoh wanita hingga tokoh pemuda. Termasuk beberapa tokoh dari Kerukunan Keluarga Sulawesi Selatan (KKSS) Kaltara.
Saat dikonfirmasi, Andi Rakhmad mengaku pertemuan itu hanya silaturahmi dalam rangka halal bihalal. Karena ia pernah menjadi Ketua Pengawas Pemilihan Umum (Panwaslu) Kalimantan Timur (Kaltim) ketika Kaltara belum terbentuk.
“Ini silaturahmi biasa dalam rangka halal bihalal. Saya kebetulan 11 tahun yang lalu pernah Ketua Pengawas Pemilu di Provinsi Kalimantan Timur, sebelum Kaltara ada. Sehingga dengan silaturahmi ini kembali merekatkan persaudaraan,” ujar Andi Rakhmad.
Ketika menjabat Ketua Panwaslu Kaltim, ia juga mengunjungi 5 kabupaten dan kota di Kaltara yang pada saat itu masih menjadi bagian dari wilayah Kaltim.
Sementara itu bagi Ruslan, salah satu warga Tarakan yang hadir, niat Andi Rakhmad dinilai positif untuk menjalin silaturahmi sesama perantau yang berasal dari Sulawesi Selatan.
“Kalau saya menilainya cukup bagus. Namanya orang Sulawesi, karena kita juga orang Sulawesi, merantau kemana-mana dan kita menjalin hubungan silaturahmi antara perantau sesama orang Sulawesi dan membangun kedekatan dengan seluruh suku bangsa yang ada di Kalimantan Utara,” tuturnya.
Disamping itu, kehadirannya juga sekaligus memperkenalkan diri. Karena pernah menjadi Ketua panwaslu Kaltim, Andi Rakhmad juga seorang pengusaha sukses. Bahkan informasi yang diperolehnya, rencana turut berinvestasi di Kawasan Industri dan Pelabuhan Internasional (KIPI) Tanah Kuning.
