TANJUNG SELOR – Gubernur Kaltara, Drs H Zainal A Paliwang SH, M.Hum mengendarai sepeda motor ke Kabupaten Malinau. Hal ini dalam rangka mengikuti kegiatan safari ramadan dijadwalkan akan dilaksanakan di Bumi Intimung pada Kamis (14/4/2022).
Rombongan mulai bersiap sekira pukul 08.00 Wite di Rumah Jabatan Gubernur Kaltara. Ada sekitar 20 kuda besi terparkir di halaman yang siap digeber untuk melakukan perjalanan ke Malinau. Selain didampingi kepala organisasi perangkat daerah (OPD) lingkup Pemprov Kaltara, Gubernur juga didampingi oleh Komunitas Motor Fair of Rain Riders Brotherhood Kaltara.
Sesuai jadwal, rombongan bakal menuju ke Bumi Intimung itu pukul 11.00 Wite. Namun karena ada faktor lain, perjalanan dipercepat menjadi pukul 09.00 Wite. Dalam rangkaian sepeda motor juga diikuti sejumlah komunitas sepeda motor yang bernaung di Tanjung Selor.
Gubernur memperkirakan perjalanan bakal ditempuh dalam waktu 240 menit dari Tanjung Selor, dengan kecepatan rata-rata 70-100 km/jam. Nyatanya, rombongan tiba pukul 13.00 Wite di Kabupaten Malinau. Dengan kata lain, waktu tempuh dari Tanjung Selor memakan waktu 240 menit.
Sepanjang perjalanan rombongan melewati jalan nasional yang dikerjakan oleh pemerintah pusat. Selain itu juga, ada beberapa ruas jalan yang dibangun pemerintah provinsi.
Ada yang dalam kondisi mulus, ada yang berbatuan hingga terjal. Namun, itu tidak menjadi halangan Gubernur untuk tetap berpuasa meskipun melewati beberapa ruas jalan yang cukup terjal.
“Namanya ibadah harus kita jalankan. Kalau masih kuat tetap berpuasa,”jelas Gubernur.
Sekali beristirahat di sebuah Masjid Al-Ikhlas di Desa Sesua, yang kebetulan masuk waktu salat dzuhur. Momen ini dimanfaatkan Gubernur untuk beristirahat sejenak sekaligus salat.
Mengingat perjalanan cukup panjang dilakukan untuk menghadiri acara Pesantren Ramadan dan Pembukaan Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) Muallaf. “Kita harus memberikan dukungan terhadap saudara-saudara kita yang muallaf. Agar mereka dapat terus mendalami islam. Dan ini menjadi tugas besar bagi kita semua dalam pemberdayaan umat,”jelas Gubernur.
